The User Interface: The Message Editor

<< Prev: The Browser WindowNext: The List Manager >>
The Message editor window allows you to control any messages that you may be sending. These messages don't have to be just Private messages but can also represent the message used in comments, friend adding messages, etc.

This window can be accessed by clicking the "Msgs." button on the main toolbar. It includes a way to save and load messages as well as message randomization. Below your message body, it tells you how many different possibilities your message can output (using DynamicPhrases) and the character count. Plain text and dynamic phrases are accepted in Subject and Body. Save as Default button makes your message default for that plugin.

In the Message editor window, you can save a message as the default message that loads with the plugin, or save it to a specific message file.

The Message system has the ability to use dynamic phrases (Tutorial here Tutorial ) to make each message unique but carry the same meaning.

There is also the ability to use Message randomization on top of Dynamic Phrases, where a message is picked at random from a list of messages or a specified folder.

Of course, each of the randomly loaded messages can use dynamic phrases to further randomize the message, providing almost complete randomization and message uniqueness. The message editor includes an output of how many possible outcomes there are in the message.
