Hey everyone. I am writing this to let you all know that we are still working on webDOM 4. There has been a delay in getting it released due to security of intellectual property. As some of you may know, webDOM 4 is being completely re-written and set up in a way that makes it more efficient, and that allows it to work with any Operating System. Due to this portability, extra security measures are being taken to make sure that our intellectual property is, in fact, safe.
Because we only want to offer you the best, but we also want to make sure that we've covered our backs, we are writing to tell you that it will be July or possibly August before full beta tests can be taken under way. Please excuse this delay.
In the meanwhile, webDOM 3 continues to work just fine for everyone and we are completely open to plugin suggestions as well as providing the best customer service that we can for webDOM 3. Let us know if you have any suggestions, comments, bugs, or the like by contacting us through our contact_page
Thanks for your understanding, and Happy DOMinating!
Calling all Beta Testers!
March 18th, 2013
webDOM 4 first beta build is scheduled for release March 31st. I just want to take a moment and thank those of you who've given ideas or beta tested for us in the past. Anyone who wants to be part of the beta test and has already worked with us, please contact Nathaniel Gibson by e-mail within the next two weeks with the subject line: BETA TESTER. Testers will be expected to give quality specific feedback on webDOM.
The beta release does not mean that wd4 will be released publicly. It will be a private beta release. Public betas will be starting shortly after, and we expect to have a full stable release out by sometime in Q2 of this year or beginning of Q3.
For everyone else not interested in beta testing, hang in there :) We should have some videos released in a week.

That being said, we are going to start making a list of those who would like to beta test. If you are interested in being on that list, please contact us through skype or email.
Speaking of beta testing, if there are any problems with any plugins, feel free to drop us a line on skype at: nathaniel.gibson
We'll keep you informed as to progress with our newest addition to the wd lineup
webDOM 4 and the Lifetime License Special Offer!
December 15th, 2012
So, it's been awhile since the last update everyone, and that special time of year is almost here. We over here at webDOMbot.com have been focusing on building a new version of webDOMinator that will work on all operating systems and use any browser (No more dealing with IE9/10 issues!)
Lifetime Licenses as many of you know, the lifetime license offer only comes a couple times a year. This year, between December 25th and December 31st, we will be giving a Lifetime license subscription to anyone for the price of just one year!
More about webDOM 4: webDOMinator 4.0 will include the following features:
Portability to Mac OS and Linux OSes
webDOM Connect: ability to connect multiple instances of webDOM to a webDOM server and control all clients in task groups
All the features of webDOM 3 and full backwards compatibility
Shared Lists: The entire list system and table system is being replaced by a central database. This means that multiple webDOMs can work on the same list without error
New and improved user interfaces
Improved automation and auto-gathering including multi-actions and scroll based gathering
This is just part of what's coming up. We will need some beta testers this January / February to help test out the new webDOM. More updates to come.
Important: Uninstall Internet Explorer 9
April 28th, 2012
Hello everyone. It is becoming more and more of an issue with webDOM users who are using webDOM on Windows 7. Internet Explorer 9 is pretty buggy and is causing webDOM to not function properly.
If you are using Windows XP, this post does not apply to you. If you are using Windows 7 however and you've noticed that webDOM is not doing what it's supposed to do, maybe not even logging in, you might be seeing the ie9 effect.
The solution. Uninstall ie9. You may actually never use it as a browser, but in most windows 7 machines, it's already installed as a windows update. To do this, follow the instructions below.
Click the Start button in Windows
Click on the Control Panel to open the Control Panel
Click "Uninstall a Program"
On the left side column of the uninstall a program window, click the link that says "View installed updates"
When the list of windows updates finishes populating the list of updates, scroll down until you see "Internet Explorer 9", then click on it to select it
Click the Uninstall button that appears near the top of the window
After uninstalling ie9, it will automatically revert your copy of windows back to ie8. It might take a reset of your computer: do so. Upon restart, you will notice when you open webDOM again that all of the functionality is back to normal.
We are currently working on a solution to this issue, and have tried the idea of integrating other browsers. This long term solution will take some time on our side, so if you need proper functionality of webDOM, apply the above fix and you will no longer have these problems.
Note: you may want to turn off windows updates as to avoid getting IE9 reinstalled on your computer without your knowledge.
April 21st, 2012
Let's first congratulate everyone who participated in the april lifetime license giveaway. We know all of you will get your money's worth out of webDOM and I thank you personally for your contribution to this software.
Secondly, let's take a look at some of the features that are coming in webDOM 3.5!
CAPTCHA Failover - This is something that's been sorely needed for awhile and will allow for up to three different types of solvers to act as a failover for the previous solver if that solver is to fail. This should ensure that whatever captcha in the way is solved.
Auto-Scrolling - Within the past year, since Twitter started using it, every social network has started jumping on the endless page bandwagon. Thus we have decided to make another auto-gather type for auto-scrolling to manage this type of page behaviour
Many small bug fixes in the core scripting engine, making webDOM faster and more reliable in the end
If anyone has any extra requests for webDOM 3.5, let us know as we are already geared up and rolling on these additions.
As always, Happy DOMinating!
Get a LIFETIME License for webDOM this April!
April 3rd, 2012
It's that time of year again when we're feeling insanely generous. We are offering a lifetime license for the price of just a year!
In just two weeks time, we will begin this offer and it will last only 5 days! That's April 15th until April 20th.
We hope you join us in the celebration and if you've been thinking about buying a year of webDOM, make the jump to Lifetime for the same price!
Offer only valid on said days. Once license is valid on one computer.
Important Update Coming Soon
February 25th, 2012
We are going to be releasing a public update of the latest beta builds on the fifth of March. The build includes some great bug fixes. Included in the bug fixes will be the quit script fix. The quit script itself is a work-around to a memory leak on some websites, but recently it hasn't been working properly even though it's in the scripting guide. We have fixed this bug and need it to be tested. This is important for sites like soundcloud, last.fm and reverbnation.
This Note is for beta testers. If you are a beta tester and are reading this, we need you to test out the "Quit Script" functionality of webDOM.
A detailed guide on quit scripts can be found here
More on the update coming soon.
DeathByCaptcha Updates & Fix
January 23rd, 2012
Some of you may have problems with using deathbycaptcha recently. This issue can be solved the following way.
download this file and put it in your program files webDOMcaptchassolvers folder.
Click "Automation" from the top menu
Click "CAPTCHA options" from the drop down menu
Click the "current solver" drop down box and select "Shell - DeathByCaptcha"
Now try to solve a captcha as normal
What happened is that they have updated some of the standards of their API and their shell system. Currently we are working on getting the HTTP version of DeathByCaptcha working again, so sit tight for updates if you insist on using that. For now, you can at least still use your dbc account with webDOM.
DeCaptcher has changed locations
January 2nd, 2012
In the beginning of this year, DeCaptcher has changed their servers. You might notice that CAPTCHA solvng has stopped working in webDOMinator. To get CAPTCHA solving working again, follow the following instructions.
Click "Automation" from the top menu
Click "Captcha Options" in the drop down menu
In the Captcha Solver options window, click the "Solver" button drop-down in the toolbar and then click "Alternative Solvers Manger"
In the window that comes up, there is a field that says "Post URL" paste this: http://poster.de-captcher.com/
Click the "Save" button in the Alternative captcha solvers manager
This should work when trying to solve CAPTCHA again. Since you saved, you should only need to do the above once. If you are not using the Alternative solver option and you see "api.deCaptcher.com" in your Captcha Solver Options window as the current solver, you shouldn't have to do anything, we've switched the location from our server.
